P&P Amendments Adopted
at May 6, 2006 Region Meeting
On May 6, 2006, the Region adopted changes to Chapter 3, Elections, to bring them into conformity with National and Division policies and procedures; and the procedures actually being used by the Region.
The Region also adopted increases to Chapter 4, Section 8, Disbursements for Region Travel Expenses to make them the same as Division.
Policies and Procedures amendments are shown below in Track Changes format.
3-1-1 The Region Director and Sections Chief positions shall be elected by the eligible voting members
of their respective subunits that are eligible to vote.
3-1-2 The term of office shall be three fiscal years.
3-1-3 A member may be elected to no more than two (2) consecutive terms. A member, who is appointed or elected to complete a Region Director or Section Chief term, may be elected to two (2) more consecutive terms.
3-1-4 The Region Director and Sections Chief elections
shall be supervised by the Region Election Coordinator, and/or the Division
Election Coordinator in conformity with the
Division Bylaws, and Division
Policies and Procedures.
3-1-5 The Sections Chief elections shall be supervised by the Region Election Coordinator.
3-1-6 The Region Director may name additional or alternate Region Election Coordinators.
3-1-57 Unless
appointed by the ski area, the The method
of selecting determining the
position of the Patrol Representative shall be
determined by the eligible voting members of the patrol.
3-1-68 The
fiscal year of election, officer position, and term for elections are:

3-1-810 All
election materials (notices,
announcements, resumes, position papers, other than
ballots), shall
be provided to members eligible to
vote by may being posted
on the Region website; sent
directly to members, by US
Postal Service (first-class) or by email; or sent
to the Patrol Representatives for redistribution.
3-1-911 Postcard ballots
shall be sent to members eligible to vote by U. S. Postal
Service (first class) with a self-addressed and
stamped ballot.Election material shall
be sent to the Patrol Representatives for distribution to the members eligible
to vote.
3-1-1012 Ballots for Region
Director shall be returned to the Division Election
Coordinator, and ballots for Section Chief
shall be returned to Region Election Coordinator. Members’ ballots
and
votes shall be keep kept
secret.
3-1-1113 All
election material shall be keep kept for
seven (7) three (3) years.
Section 8 - Disbursements for Region Travel Expenses
4-8-9 Maximum reimbursement for mileage expenses
shall be $0.20 $0.32 per
mile.

4-8-10 Maximum reimbursement for lodging expenses shall be
$25.00 per night.Lodging
costs shall be reimbursed at one-half the double room rate,
with the reimbursement subject to the submission of
receipts. Central Division P&P, Chapter 5.
4-8-11 Meal costs shall be
reimbursed up to a maximum rate of $30 per day, with the reimbursement subject
to the submission of receipts. Maximum
reimbursement for meal expenses shall be $7.00 for breakfast, $7.00 for lunch,
and 15.00 for dinner. No expenses for alcohol can be reimbursed.

4-8-12 Group lodging shall be reimbursed up to a maximum rate of $40 per person per day, with the reimbursement subject to the submission of receipts.
4-8-13 If
sufficient funds are not available to pay all allowed and approved travel expenses,expenses;
the Region Treasurer shall pay the mileage expenses first, then lodging
expenses, and finally meal expenses.
